Talal Chaudhry Urges Global Social Media to Block Terror Accounts

The Government of Pakistan on Friday issued a strong appeal to international social media platforms, urging them to take swift action against proscribed terrorist groups that are using digital channels to spread propaganda and incite violence.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Islamabad, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, alongside Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, called on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram to block accounts linked to banned outfits, particularly those already blacklisted by the United Nations, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
