Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hailed the recently brokered ceasefire between Israel and Iran as a “historic victory,” claiming it has neutralized critical threats to Israel’s existence and secured the nation’s future.

In a nationally televised statement, Netanyahu proclaimed, “This victory will be remembered for generations. We have dismantled two of the most immediate existential threats—nuclear weapons development and advanced ballistic missile capabilities. Had we not acted decisively, we would be staring down the barrel of annihilation.”

Netanyahu credited the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for executing a bold and precise military campaign. According to him, the operation successfully eliminated Iran’s top military leadership, including three chiefs of staff, leading nuclear scientists, and other senior operatives.
He further detailed the destruction of Iran’s critical nuclear infrastructure in Isfahan, Natanz, and Arak, marking a devastating blow to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
The Israeli premier also gave special praise to U.S. President Donald Trump for his direct involvement in the operation. “President Trump stood beside us like never before,” Netanyahu said. “Under his command, the U.S. military struck and destroyed the fortified underground enrichment facility at Fordow. This partnership was vital to our success.”
The ceasefire comes after a dramatic period of military escalation in the region, and Netanyahu’s remarks suggest that Israel views the recent campaign as a turning point in its long-standing standoff with Iran.
