American Senator Lindsey Graham is advocating for a Senate vote on a broad sanctions bill he describes as an “economic bunker buster.” The bill is designed to exert massive financial pressure on Russia and its major trading partners — including China and India — in an effort to compel Russian President Vladimir Putin to enter peace negotiations. In an interview with NBC News, Graham shared that more than 80 senators have co-sponsored the 2025 Sanctioning Russia Act, a bipartisan effort to intensify economic consequences for Moscow due to its continued war in Ukraine. “Putin is more aggressive, not less,” said Graham. “It’s time to change tactics.”
