Google Console Introduced New Insights Feature

Google Search Console “Insights” – A Game-Changer for Content Performance

Google has quietly rolled out a powerful feature inside Search Console called “Insights”, designed especially for content creators, bloggers, and SEO professionals to understand how their content is performing — with clear, visual, and simplified data.

Let’s dive into what this new feature offers and how it makes tracking easier than ever.

 1. Click Growth at a Glance

One of the most helpful features is instant click comparison. You can now see your current click performance vs. previous periods, which helps track growth and identify what’s gaining traction.

For instance, going from 0 to 32 clicks is no longer a hidden stat — it’s highlighted clearly with an arrow indicator showing growth.

 2. Impression Spike Monitoring

Impressions — how many times your pages appeared in search results — are also now highlighted. A rise from 0 to 3.59K impressions is tracked with visible indicators. This helps you know which content Google is noticing even before it starts generating high clicks.

 3. Page-Level Insights

Under “Your Content,” you get a breakdown of which pages are performing best, including links and their individual click counts. Whether it’s a trending news article or an evergreen topic, each page’s growth is now tracked separately.

You can easily compare new and old content, like:

  • Articles moving from 0 to 2 clicks

  • Homepage growth tracked directly

  • Fresh vs. older post performance

 4. Keyword-Based Query Tracking

“Insights” also reveals what people are searching when they land on your site. This section highlights actual search queries with corresponding click counts. For example:

  • A query like “ansar abbasi journalist” shows up with increasing clicks

  • Niche searches like “icc new rules” or “wiaan mulder test cricket” are also listed

This helps creators optimize their content around real user behavior.

 5. Country-Based Click Distribution

Want to know where your traffic is coming from? The new feature includes a geo-click breakdown, such as:

  • Pakistan: 75%

  • India: 9%

  • United States: 9%

  • Canada & Qatar: 3% each

It’s easier than ever to tailor your content strategy by understanding which regions are engaging most.

6. Additional Traffic Sources – Image Search Now Counts

One major update is how non-web search sources are handled. “Insights” now shows clicks from Image search, Discover, Google News, and more.

For example, image search alone may generate 6+ clicks, which were previously ignored or buried in older versions of Search Console.

Why “Insights” Matters

The new “Insights” feature is not just about stats — it’s about clarity and simplicity. Whether you’re a solo blogger, small business owner, or part of an SEO agency, this update helps you:

  • Understand which content performs best

  • See real-time growth trends

  • Get user-intent-based query data

  • Identify top traffic regions and sources
