The ICC has officially released the schedule for cricket’s much-awaited return to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, with men’s and women’s T20 events set from July 12 to July 29, 2028.
This is a major moment for cricket, which last appeared in the 1900 Olympics — a single match where Great Britain defeated France.
Cricket’s inclusion in the LA28 Games was approved by the IOC in 2023. Earlier in April 2025, the IOC finalized that six teams per gender will compete in the T20 format, with 90 players allowed for men and 90 for women, each team featuring 15 squad members.
