ISLAMABAD – Reham Khan, journalist and ex-wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has officially launched a new political party named the Pakistan Republic Party (PRP). The announcement was made during a press conference at the Karachi Press Club.
Reham said the PRP would focus on women, farmers, and underrepresented communities, promising a shift from traditional politics toward horizontal leadership and public-led policymaking. She emphasized the importance of lived experiences, pledging to give real voices from the ground a platform.
Labeling her party as a national mission, not just a political effort, Reham vowed to pursue legal reforms that improve everyday life for citizens, especially for those often ignored in the current political landscape.
“This is your party,” she said, stating that the public will shape the party’s manifesto and direction. She also highlighted her collaboration with grassroots changemakers — individuals who may not be widely known but are already making meaningful impacts in their communities.
Reham’s return to politics comes years after her brief marriage to Imran Khan in 2015 and her controversial exit from PTI’s inner circle. Now, she aims to forge a new path, centered on inclusivity, reform, and hope.
